Ima Little Teapot Coloring Page
IMA Little Tae-Pee pot is one the most popular toddler and preschool craft ideas on the market today. Its popularity has made it so easy to find a ready-made version for your child's enjoyment. IMA also makes it very easy to add your own personal touches by using your imagination. The result is that your child gets an IMA Little Tae-Pee coloring page that they will love just as much as your children love the original.
Let me tell you what I used to create my original pot. I started by using a basic color wheel for our home. I wanted something that would have appeal as well as be educational. Then I decided I wanted something that my child could use for many years to come.
Since the color wheel came into play, I knew I was on the right track. Once the colors were selected, I simply had to choose a picture my child liked. I selected one of the many flowers in my garden. That simple gesture gave me the color I needed.
After selecting the picture, I decided to add some bright color to the pot. With the clear protective covering, I felt that no matter what the color of the page, the kids would still be able to see their letters. So I went with yellow. I chose two tones because I wanted the colors to blend nicely with each other.
I know that some people think that children are unable to appreciate color. I don't think that is true at all. My children, when they were first learning how to recognize colors, found it extremely difficult to remove the colored object from the page. Sometimes they got so frustrated that they gave up and asked for a break. I know I can't stand the look of disappointment on my kid's faces if I forget to paint the next page.
My point is that coloring pages should not be seen as a chore. Instead, they should be enjoyed and looked over. I also think that it can be fun to come up with new ideas and try to make each page a little different. When they get tired of a color or shape, they can go back to the drawing board.
One thing I learned about making photo books for children was that they were a lot more receptive to print if they were printed on quality paper. I decided to create a batch of A4 size pages so that my little teapot coloring pictures would be perfect. The finished product was eight lovely page covers that were perfect for my little girl's bedroom. They were brightly colored and printed with lots of lovely cartoon characters and flowers. Now, she has hundreds of pictures to choose from whenever I need a coloring page.
It wasn't too expensive to produce these personalized page covers. In fact, I was able to make a few extra copies for friends and family when I ordered them. Everyone loves them and she really likes the cute picture that comes on each one of them.
If you have never tried creating a coloring page for your child, it can quickly become a favorite in their eyes. I encourage you to do just that. I think they are great for kids who like to draw but don't usually excel in that area. They also make great holiday gifts for your kids. Coloring pages can be purchased online or at many bookstores.
You will want to make sure that you have the right coloring supplies before you begin. You will want to purchase paper, crayons, a coloring board and of course an envelope to send your page to your child. You will also want to use a good quality colored pencil.
Our daughter started at age three and got done by age five. She liked learning to color so much that we made coloring books out of her pictures. Each one is different in terms of colors but she loved them all. She felt that she was doing something really important with her children that allowed her to learn new things while coloring.
